Wireless Architect III

You’ll be at the center of evaluating and bringing emerging wireless technologies to life. As a Wireless Engineer III, you’ll work hands-on with 4G LTE, 5G, RAN architectures, RF systems, and lab environments to test new capabilities, build proof-of-concept solutions, and determine how they can support future network services.

You’ll collaborate with vendors and engineering teams, lead complex testing efforts, develop smarter validation strategies, and help turn promising technologies into reliable network solutions. Your experience with vRAN, MIMO, virtualization, cloud platforms, or IoT could help shape what comes next in wireless.
· 7+ years of experience in wireless software development, engineering, or technology management
· Strong knowledge of 4G LTE and 5G NR layers, including PHY, MAC, and RRC
· Experience with RAN technologies such as vRAN, MIMO, GPS/PTP timing and synchronization, and radio/BBU/DU/CU configuration
· Hands-on experience testing RF hardware and using spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters, and network analyzers
· Experience developing test plans, validating performance requirements, and troubleshooting wireless systems
· BSEE, master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
· Operational experience with 4G LTE and 5G wireless networks
· Experience working with eNB and gNB equipment
· Knowledge of routing, switching, network security, virtualization, or cloud platforms
· Experience coordinating with wireless equipment, software, or technology vendors
· Experience leading matrixed engineering teams or complex technical projects
· MBA or additional business and technology management experience
· Develop and evaluate wireless RAN, 4G LTE, and 5G architectures, infrastructure, and products
· Design proof-of-concept environments and validate new technologies through lab testing and field evaluations
· Build test plans, tools, automation frameworks, and testing strategies for functional and performance requirements
· Integrate wireless hardware, software, protocols, transmission systems, and signaling links into complete network configurations
· Coordinate with vendors and engineering teams to test firmware, software, hardware, and new wireless capabilities
· Lead technical initiatives, mentor engineers, communicate project status, and help resolve design or performance issues
· 30% Wireless RAN, 4G LTE, and 5G Architecture
· 25% Lab Validation, RF Testing, and Performance Evaluation
· 20% Proofs of Concept, Test Automation, and Technology Development
· 15% Network Integration, Virtualization, and Cloud Platforms
· 10% Technical Leadership, Vendor Coordination, and Project Delivery
· Evaluate new wireless technologies, products, architectures, and network capabilities
· Configure and test radio, baseband, distributed unit, and centralized unit systems
· Use RF measurement equipment to validate signal quality and system performance
· Develop test plans, test tools, automation frameworks, and technical documentation
· Coordinate with vendors and engineering teams to investigate issues and improve designs
· Provide technical guidance, mentoring, project updates, and delivery support
