Telecommunications Engineer - III

Contract
This is a field-based opportunity supporting in-building broadband network deployments across residential and commercial environments. You’ll be working with a company focused on delivering high-quality connectivity solutions using coax, Cat6a, and fiber technologies. This is a contract position ideal for someone with 5–7 years of hands-on experience in network installation, cabling, and field engineering, with the majority of work performed onsite and minimal work-from-home.
The standout feature of this role is the variety and ownership—you’ll be involved in everything from evaluating multi-tenant buildings to full-scale installation and project coordination. They’re looking for someone who enjoys being in the field, solving real-world problems, and working directly with customers. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to expand their technical footprint, gain exposure to large-scale broadband deployments, and build strong relationships across engineering and sales teams while maintaining a high level of independence.
Contract Duration: 12 Months
Required Skills & Experience
· 5–7 years of hands-on experience with in-building network design and installation
· Experience installing and supporting broadband data transmission equipment
· Strong experience with coax, twisted pair copper, Cat6a, and/or fiber optic cabling
· Experience with network switching equipment and complex network environments
· Ability to evaluate multi-dwelling units (MDUs) and commercial buildings for network compatibility
· Experience coordinating and supporting large-scale broadband build projects
· Ability to produce technical as-built documentation
· Experience testing and troubleshooting coax and Ethernet cabling
· Knowledge of CATV provider termination points (e.g., terminals, pedestals)
· Understanding of general worksite hazard identification and safety practices
· Hands-on experience working on ladders (step, extension, folding)
· Experience drilling in residential and commercial structures
· Strong customer-facing experience and communication skills
· Must have a reliable vehicle capable of transporting tools and equipment
Desired Skills & Experience
· Experience using Google Suite and mobile/field-based applications
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent field experience
· Experience working on rooftops (flat and/or pitched)
· Experience supporting field engineering or sales teams in an operational capacity
