Project Manager – Wireless Telecom / Verizon | Central Gulf Coast

We are seeking an experienced Wireless Telecom Project Manager to support a large-scale Verizon network deployment program in the Central Gulf Coast market. This is a contract opportunity supporting Samsung Networks, with the position based out of the Plano, TX office / open to remote for Texas-based candidates. The role will focus on wireless network deployment and upgrade activities, with particular value placed on candidates who understand BBU cabinets, RAN equipment upgrades, installation, integration, configuration, and field deployment operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a wireless telecom PM who can step into a high-volume, fast-paced Verizon program and contribute immediately. While knowledge of field deployment and BBU upgrade work is highly valuable, this is primarily a desk-based Project Manager role—not a field PM position. The ideal candidate brings strong wireless deployment knowledge, understands how field teams execute upgrades, and can effectively manage schedules, milestones, escalations, vendors, and stakeholders. Previous Verizon experience is a major advantage because the program requires someone who can ramp up quickly with limited onboarding.

Contract Duration: Through year-end, with work expected to potentially continue into Q1

Work Location: Plano, TX / Open to Remote – Texas-based candidates
Region: Central Gulf Coast
Schedule: 50 hours per week

· Experience identifying issues in advance and driving resolution to prevent deployment delays

· Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage a high-volume, fast-paced workload

· Previous Verizon Wireless experience – major plus

· Previous experience supporting Samsung Networks or Samsung wireless deployments

· Experience supporting wireless carrier network modernization, new builds, upgrades, integrations, and migrations

· Familiarity with Verizon deployment processes, terminology, systems, and expectations

· Experience managing third-party vendors, field crews, installation teams, and integration teams

· Experience managing project budgets, forecasts, costs, schedules, and executive-level reporting

· PMP certification desired

What You Will Be Doing

The Project Manager will manage and coordinate wireless telecom deployment projects across the Central Gulf Coast market, working closely with management, engineering, field teams, vendors, customers, and other stakeholders.

You will be responsible for establishing project scope, developing and maintaining project plans, coordinating field activities, tracking schedules and milestones, identifying risks, and escalating issues that could impact cost, schedule, quality, or budget.

Although this is primarily a desk-based position, you will need a strong understanding of what happens in the field during wireless network upgrades. You will coordinate teams responsible for the installation, integration, configuration, upgrade, and harvest of telecommunications equipment and provide project-level guidance to help remove roadblocks and minimize deployment delays.

You will also monitor project and field-team performance, coordinate third-party requirements, provide status updates to management and executive leadership, and drive continuous improvements across the deployment process.
