Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee customer mobile telecommunications deployments from contract award through operational transition, along with select internal initiatives. This position owns project execution, including planning, scheduling, resource coordination, risk management, reporting, stakeholder communication, and final delivery.
The Project Manager will partner with Sales, Solution Architecture, Engineering, Network Operations, customers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure projects meet schedule, budget, scope, and quality expectations.
Take ownership of complex wireless and networking deployments while working across technical, operational, and customer-facing teams. This role provides exposure to 4G/LTE, 5G, mobile core, IP networking, and enterprise wireless solutions, while also offering the opportunity to improve project delivery processes within a growing telecommunications organization.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3–5+ years of project management experience involving a 4G/LTE or 5G mobile core network
- PMP, PRINCE2, or another recognized project management certification
- Proven experience managing complex customer technology projects from initiation through operational handoff
- Working knowledge of 4G/LTE and 5G network architectures, including NSA and SA
- Understanding of mobile core networks, IP networking, signaling protocols, OSS/BSS, SIP, VoLTE, and VoNR
- Knowledge of mobile network roaming and relationships between Mobile Network Operators (MNOs)
- Experience overseeing projects involving integrated hardware and software solutions
- Experience collaborating with Engineering, Solution Architecture, Sales, Operations, vendors, and customers
- Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, dependencies, resource allocation, budgets, risk, issue, and change management
- Excellent communication, presentation, organization, and stakeholder-management skills
- Experience with Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet, Microsoft Planner, or comparable project management platforms
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience delivering 5G Standalone deployments
- Private Enterprise Network or enterprise wireless deployment experience
- Additional experience with mobile core, IMS, VoLTE/VoNR, roaming, or related technologies
- Experience working within a startup or rapidly growing telecommunications organization
- Experience creating or improving project management processes, governance standards, templates, or delivery methodologies
What You Will Be Doing
- Direct multiple customer and internal projects through planning, execution, handoff, and closeout
- Review SOWs, technical architecture, requirements, assumptions, dependencies, risks, and resource needs before project launch
- Establish project objectives, milestones, deliverables, schedules, resources, and governance
- Build and maintain project schedules, Gantt charts, risk and issue logs, dependency trackers, action items, and status reports
- Coordinate Engineering and Solution Architecture deliverables, including HLD and LLD development, review, and approval
- Monitor project scope, budget, resources, milestones, deliverables, and overall performance
- Lead customer and internal meetings and communicate project status to management and stakeholders
- Identify potential delivery problems and develop mitigation or contingency plans
- Escalate significant risks, issues, scope changes, and schedule or resource concerns through appropriate channels
- Maintain strong working relationships with customers, vendors, technical teams, and internal stakeholders
- Coordinate completed projects into Network Operations or other designated operational teams
- Ensure handover documentation, acceptance requirements, as-builts, operational procedures, support information, and escalation processes are complete
- Conduct post-project reviews, document lessons learned, and identify opportunities for improvement
- Help enhance project governance, reporting, templates, tools, and deployment processes

Daily Responsibilities
- Maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, and issues
- Coordinate distributed technical, operational, vendor, and customer resources
- Track budgets, staffing, deliverables, and contractual commitments
- Facilitate project meetings and provide accurate status reporting
- Coordinate engineering and technical design activities
- Manage project changes and address delivery obstacles
- Keep project documentation and governance records current
- Prepare solutions for operational transition and project closeout
- Capture lessons learned and recommend improvements to future deployments
