This opportunity is a contract role based in Pittsburgh, PA, supporting construction-related permitting activities for an unnamed organization. The position is responsible for tracking, submitting, and managing permits through jurisdictional review processes while supporting CATV, fiber, and utilities construction work.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on ownership and coordination. The #1 feature of this opportunity is end-to-end responsibility for the permitting lifecycle, acting as the primary liaison between construction teams and permitting authorities. The team is looking for a highly organized communicator who enjoys balancing field presence with administrative oversight, offering exposure to permitting strategy, jurisdictional relationships, and long-term extension potential.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Permit tracking and coordination experience
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer service and stakeholder coordination experience
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Construction permitting experience
  • Exposure to CATV, fiber, or utilities projects
  • Experience working with local jurisdictions
  • Proficiency with Excel
  • Experience with permit tracking or job documentation systems
What You Will Be Doing
  • Submitting permit packages via online systems, fax, or in person
  • Tracking permits through jurisdictional review and approval
  • Communicating with permitting authorities regarding requirements and changes
  • Maintaining jurisdiction-specific permitting requirements
  • Managing permit documentation within JT or Polaris (job docs)
  • Handling financial tracking and reporting related to permitting
  • Acting as the liaison between Company and permitting authorities
  • Tracking aerial inspection and restoration completion
  • Supporting scheduling functions as needed
  • Coordinating traffic control requirements and related follow-ups
