A growing telecommunications and utility construction company is hiring an OSP Technician/Laborer for a field-based opportunity in Richmond, VA 23222. This is a full-time position supporting outside plant (OSP) telecommunications construction projects, with hands-on work involving underground pipe and conduit installation.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a career in the telecommunications industry while gaining valuable field experience. We’re looking for dependable, hardworking individuals who are comfortable working outdoors, working as part of a crew, and taking direction from a Supervisor. Previous underground telecom experience is preferred, but this role is also a strong opportunity for someone with a solid work ethic who wants to learn the trade and grow their skills.

Required Skills & Experience- Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- Ability to perform physical labor and work as part of a construction crew
- Ability to follow directions from a Supervisor
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to safely perform assigned job duties
- Ability to work effectively with team members
- Previous underground telecommunications experience
- Experience with underground construction
- Experience placing pipe or conduit
- OSP or utility construction experience
- Previous experience working around construction equipment and tools
- Assist with all aspects of the project as directed by the Supervisor
- Assist team members with placing underground pipes and conduits
- Support the crew with general construction and labor activities
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
- Follow all company and job-site safety requirements
- Assist with additional project tasks as needed
