This is an exciting opportunity for a Real Estate Specialist to support telecommunications network macro site modifications across Northern California and Nevada. The position can be based in Walnut Creek, CA, Portland, OR, or Bellevue, WA. This role focuses on telecommunications real estate, site acquisition, lease management, zoning, and vendor management while partnering with construction, RF, network operations, fiber, and legal teams.
If you’re an experienced telecom real estate professional who knows how to keep complex site modification projects moving, this role gives you the opportunity to take ownership from initial real estate activities through construction handoff. You’ll work directly with landlords, site acquisition vendors, internal teams, and leadership while managing competing priorities and tight deadlines. The position offers flexibility with remote work, exposure to large-scale network infrastructure projects, and the opportunity to expand your expertise across real estate, construction, zoning, and telecommunications.
Required Skills & Experience- Bachelor’s degree or at least 5 years of relevant work experience
- 5+ years of relevant telecommunications, real estate, site acquisition, or related experience
- Strong experience with telecommunications macro modifications
- Experience managing site acquisition vendors and projects
- Ability to manage multiple projects, milestones, and competing priorities
- Strong understanding of lease and real estate-related issues
- Experience communicating and negotiating with landlords and their representatives
- Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve project and lease issues
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to travel as needed
- Telecommunications site acquisition or real estate experience
- Knowledge of land use, zoning, planning, and real estate acquisition
- Knowledge of local and regional zoning, planning, and environmental standards
- Experience with legal, contract management, project management, or construction disciplines
- Experience reviewing construction drawings, RF data sheets, and leases
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Experience managing purchase orders and vendor invoices
- Experience using project tracking and database applications
- Experience with FUZE
- Ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and solve complex problems
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience working with RF, construction, implementation, network operations, fiber, and legal teams
- Manage real estate site modifications for telecommunications macro sites throughout Northern California and Nevada
- Manage and drive site acquisition vendors to meet project goals and deadlines
- Track project milestones and ensure timely completion
- Perform lease due diligence and identify potential issues
- Represent the organization in communications and negotiations with landlords and their agents
- Identify, analyze, and resolve real estate and lease-related issues
- Escalate network-critical and site-critical issues to leadership with recommended solutions
- Conduct site visits as needed
- Perform zoning reviews and attend zoning or planning hearings
- Manage purchase orders and review vendor invoices
- Navigate and complete FUZE tasks
- Coordinate with RF, construction, implementation, network operations, fiber, legal, and other internal teams
- Review construction drawings, RF data sheets, leases, contracts, and related documentation
- Successfully hand off completed projects to the Construction Team
- Ensure project documentation and reporting requirements are completed accurately and on time
