Electrical Engineer II-Schaumburg, IL

Put your RF engineering expertise to work designing, debugging, and validating wireless communication systems. As an Electrical Engineer II, you’ll build and test circuits, troubleshoot performance issues, and support product redesign efforts from early development through verification. Your work will involve RF circuit design, wireless communication theory, and hands-on use of industry-standard test equipment.

This role is a great fit for an engineer who enjoys seeing designs come to life on the bench. You’ll work with PLLs, VCOs, receivers, RF power amplifiers, and related technologies while partnering with other engineering disciplines to improve product performance. The ideal candidate can work independently, communicate complex findings clearly, and manage multiple design efforts without losing focus on quality.

Required Skills & Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline

· At least 2 years of professional experience in RF development or circuit design

· Strong understanding of RF circuit design and wireless communication theory

· Experience designing or analyzing PLL, VCO, receiver, or RF power amplifier circuits

· Hands-on experience using network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and power meters

· Ability to build, debug, test, and troubleshoot circuits at the component or board level

Desired Skills & Experience

· Knowledge of RF amplifier design and performance characteristics

· Experience conducting circuit-level performance verification testing

· Experience supporting product redesign or sustaining engineering initiatives

· Ability to manage multiple concurrent engineering projects

· Strong technical writing and presentation skills

· Experience collaborating with electrical, mechanical, software, or systems engineering teams

What You Will Be Doing

· Design, build, and debug RF circuits for product development and redesign efforts

· Analyze PLL, VCO, receiver, and RF power amplifier performance

· Conduct circuit-level testing and performance verification

· Use RF test equipment to measure, evaluate, and troubleshoot circuit behavior

· Identify root causes of performance issues and recommend design improvements

· Document technical findings and communicate results to cross-functional engineering teams

Daily Responsibilities

· Design and evaluate RF circuits and related wireless communication components

· Build prototypes and troubleshoot circuit-level performance issues

· Perform measurements using network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and power meters

· Verify product performance against technical requirements and industry standards

· Document test results, design decisions, issues, and recommended improvements

· Coordinate with other engineering teams to support product development goals
